Weather and temperatures vary a lot depending on your state, but on average, October is the best month to get married, according to our readers.

During the hot and humid summer months, afternoon thunderstorms are very common.
I have photographed so many outdoor weddings that had to be moved indoors at the last minute because of unexpected thunderstorms.
If you plan a July or August wedding in the Northeast, I highly recommend having a rain backup plan. I remember one wedding season when over 50% of our weddings had to be moved indoors because of thunderstorms.
I live in PA, and my favorite months to photograph weddings (for the best weather) are late April, early May, late September, and early October.
In my opinion, May is the best month for an outdoor wedding. I love how springtime makes everything so vibrant.
