Alexia and Eric’s Rider Park Engagement Session Near Williamsport, PA
We are excited to share this beautiful Rider Park engagement session photographed by Tasha Puckey Photography.
Rider Park is in the Williamsport, Pa area (Trout Run).
You can read all about Alexia and Eric’s relationship & proposal below.
Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?
Eric and I met in high school, but did not reconnect until we both went to Lock Haven University for sports.Â
I ran track and field and he was on the wrestling team.Â
We met at a party and started hanging out every day since then.Â
We were truly best friends before we made it official.
What makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together.Â
It’s not difficult for us to get up and go and that’s the best thing about our relationship, we can adapt quickly.
We started traveling and our first country we went to was Belize. The following year we went to Bali.
Since then we have a huge list of countries we still want to see together.
We value culture and religion, as well as nature when we visit new places.
How did you know your partner was the one? When did you first know this in your relationship?
When we decided to transfer together to Lycoming College.
We made very hard decisions to change the course of our careers and we made it work by taking one day at a time.
It was then that we knew we could figure out any issue or problem together as a team.
Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?
Eric actually had already bought the ring a year prior to proposing.
He was hiding it in our apartment all that time and I had no idea.
I had ruined the proposal on two different occasions with car maintenance appointments or just not feeling well, I was truly oblivious.
He eventually popped the question as we were laying in bed one night in our Williamsport apartment (and at this point he was just so eager to give it to me) I of course said yes, but he also knows I hate immaculate surprises so it was fitting for me.
We’re all about the bling… Tell us all about that ring!
Eric had personally designed the ring at JL Winters Jewelers to create a one-of-a-kind ring from scratch.
He did it with the jeweler on the computer, so it truly is unique and what he envisioned me wearing.
I only knew that I wanted a pear-shaped diamond, it was absolutely perfect. He did a great job!
Are you excited to start planning your wedding day? Do you have any ideas in mind yet?
I am completely planning the wedding myself.
I have the philosophy that if you want it done right, you must do it yourself.
I have a knack for interior decorating and my ideas are all done on a budget.Â
We have everything planned out so far and it’s all going smoothly.
We are very excited for our big day!!
