A Beautiful Summer Wedding at The Farm at Eagles Ridge (Brittni and CJ)
We are so excited to share Brittni and CJ’s wedding that took place in Lancaster, PA at The Farm at Eagles Ridge. This gorgeous wedding was photographed by Lauren E Bliss Photography.
A few notes about the wedding day from Brittni (the bride):
I always wondered what my wedding day would be like. From the moment I got engaged (actually before) I had a vision in my head of how I would want the day to go. From my dress, hair, and makeup to the bridesmaids, to the centerpieces and band I had a certain vision, and I can happily say that the dream I had absolutely came to life with the help of my husband, mom, and my amazing vendors (A full list of vendors and links to their websites can be found at the bottom of this post).
My wedding day started out early. We had 9 people total needing hair and makeup and had to be at the venue by 1:15 pm. My mom and I had rented an Airbnb for the weekend and it worked out perfectly because we had a full kitchen to set up food and drinks in the morning. Additionally, my hair and makeup vendors had plenty of room to set up and no one felt like they were on top of each other. We started hair and makeup at 6:30 am and finished by 1 pm. From the Airbnb, we headed to the venue, which was about a 20-minute drive. The Farm at Eagles Ridge has a gorgeous bridal suite where we were able to get dressed, have champagne, and start our pictures. During the time we were in the bridal suite, the groom and groomsmen were taking their pictures around the venue. We did not do a first look so it was important we started getting all our other photos completed so we could get our photos done during cocktail hour.
The clock struck 3:00 and it was finally time to go marry my best friend, something we both have been waiting for, for quite some time. Walking down the aisle to Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles was probably one of my favorite moments of the day and a moment I will never forget. We opted to do a shorter ceremony so guests could go enjoy their time at cocktail hour and explore the venue before the party started. During cocktail hour CJ and I took all our photos which would leave us the rest of the night to enjoy with family or friends. They always say your wedding is one of the best days of your life and I can confidently say that is true.
Favorite parts of the day?
There were many parts of the evening that were amazing. The band was incredible and had every guest dancing all night long. However, my favorite part of the day was walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing CJ for the first time. He looked so handsome in his tux, and I was so excited to share our vows with each other in front of our family and friends. It was very special to us that the first time we saw each other was at the ceremony and not before.
Advice to couples just starting their wedding planning journey?
My biggest piece of advice I would give to brides is once you decide on something whether that be your venue, dress, or a specific vendor, check off the box and move onto the next thing. It will be the best thing for your mind as you are planning. Do not forget to have the best day ever and take it all in, it goes by so fast!
